Dr. Brett Raynor is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery. Dr. Raynor completed his fellowship training at the Steadman Philippon Institute, a renowned orthopedic institute in Vail, Colorado. He treats problems of the shoulder, knee and hip. Dr. Raynor has a special expertise in treating complex knee ligament injuries as well as minimally-invasive arthroscopic surgery of the hip and shoulder.
Dr. Raynor received his undergraduate degree from Duke University and earned his medical degree from U.T. Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and his fellowship in orthopaedic sports medicine at the Steadman Philippon Research Institute.
Dr. Raynor is actively involved with the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team physician pool and travels with the athletes internationally. He also stays involved with local sports team in the Dallas Fort Worth area by providing care for their athletes.
Dr. Raynor is invested in the future of medicine. He has published several papers in leading sports medicine journals and has presented his research nationally. Dr. Raynor is the co-chairman of the DFW Sports Medicine Symposium here in Dallas, TX, and he is a regular lecturer at the Vail International Complex Knee Symposium in Vail, CO.
Dr. Raynor treats patients with orthopedic injuries at the Texas Orthopaedic Associates locations in Plano and Dallas. He is dedicated to helping his patients get relief from orthopedic injuries so they can get back to doing what they love. Born in Dallas, Dr. Raynor is married with two young daughters and son. In his free-time Dr. Raynor enjoys spending time with his family as well as running, cycling, and fly-fishing.
